Migration from FX-2020#
Migrating from FX-2020 with BIN version older than 9.20.07

Step by step guide
Note
- Required tools:
microSD memory card reader
Working FX-2020 or FX-2025 controller. In case you don’t have one, you can send the DATA and WWW to Fidelix support and they will assist you.
First phase is upgrade the project data and www files to match firmware 9.20.07.
Remove the Compact flash -memory card from FX-2020 and insert it into your card reader.
Take a backup of WWW and DATA folders alongside the working folders (zip-backup is recommended).
- Upload the WWW and DATA folders to the controller with BIN version 9.20.07 via FTP.
- Stop the controller using Command Prompt.
Open Command Prompt.
Insert “telnet “controller IP-address”, eg. “telnet 10.100.1.198” NOTE! Telnet is optional feature on Windows, install it if it doesn’t exist.
Input login credentials.
Write “stopall” command via telnet.
Comman prompt will tell “All programs have been stopped.”
- Connect to controller via FTP using windows File explorer or 3rd party FTP-client.
Open File explorer in Windows.
Write ftp://”controller IP-address”. e.g. “ftp://10.100.1.198”
Click secondary mouse button and choose “login as”
Add login credentials.
Navigate to folder: HDisk/Fidelix/
Rename or backup existing DATA and WWW folders.
Delete DATA and WWW folders from controller.
Copy paste the DATA and WWW that was on the memory card to the controller.
- Write “startall” command via telnet.
Comman prompt will tell: All programs have been started and you have upgraded version of data on your controller.
- Now that the data has been updated you can download the data using same steps than previously.
Stop the controller.
Download DATA and WWW folers from controller.
Start your controller.
Now you have updated DATA and WWW files on your PC.
Now you have working WWW and DATA Files that can be uploaded to FX-2025-FX2030A and FX-3000-C. The WWW and DATA can’t be uploaded to FX-3000-X as such. It needs to go through FX-3000-C first.
